Very interesting. A suggestion, if you can intersect the circle with Russian area of control on that day, the launch areas of interest might throw more insights. It should be possible with python libraries you are using along with date based area of control kml maps that are open source published
Yes after spending some time looking at it, I think it is possible! I'm going to work on it a bit more this week and hope to revise the maps afterwards. Thanks for the suggestion.
