Might I suggest that you look at the timings of these mini-clashes between India and Pakistan along with reports of Pakistani militants trying to infiltrate across the border (LoC) into India? Its been seen before that these clashes usually erupt whenever there is reports of increased infiltration attempts and whenever Indian intelligence uncovers locations of "terrorist launch pads" from where the Pakistani militants launch their infiltration bids.
Yeah that's a good point - it would be interesting to see what the correlation/timing is like between events along the Line of Control that we can verify (i.e. the drone downings) and the events that are much harder to verify independently (i.e. news reports about infiltration attempts).
